The retransmission squabble continues between KSLA/Channel 12/Shreveport and DirecTV.  The station continues to try and convince the viewers it's all DirecTV's fault.  With just over a week and half left, KSLA contiues with the facebook posts warning DirecTV viewers they soon could be with out:

Have to laugh about the line:
"...best local news and weather..."
They sure are kidding themselves.

Thursday night NFL football and SEC football. You're going to freak out. Oh wait, Arkansas won't play on CBS, they'll be relegated to the SEC Network like Ole Miss and Vandy.

It will all be worked out and everything will be just fine. This happens numerous times every year all over the country.

This is a non-news story. They companies will do their cursory announcements but in the end it will all be settled and as usual, money will change hands.

And your cable/sat bills will continue to climb.

Not for me, I've cut the cable months ago and watch online or OTA. I find that I spend less time watching junk TV shows. Cable & Satellite costs suck!

No kidding. As soon as I get a decent antenna installed, I'm cutting cable off. You can only watch Flo commercials so many times, it's worse when you pay for it.

I only care about seeing LSU games.

Cut cable and sat ties. Install an antenna and get TV for free. Of course you won't be able to see all those stupid reality shows. Come on, break the cable/sat habit and save money.

"I spoke to Directv 10 minutes ago. If after a couple weeks, Raycom stops trying to ask for 400% more than the other local stations, Directv will begin showing east coast CBS station on channel 391. The ONLY downside will be the time things will be shown. So if the show you want to watch normally comes on at 7 here, it might come on at 6 instead.
Also if you call Directv now, they will give you a 10 dollar credit on your bill.
But know this, Directv did NOT stop showing channel 12. Raycom Media (KSLA's parent company) pulled it from the lineup. The only part Directv is playing in this, is trying to get the channel back on...without being extorted for 400% more money than the other local channels pay. Raycom had a sales profit of 700 million dollars last year. They are NOT hurting for money. So if you are going to blame someone, blame Raycom, not Directv."

Raycom aka: KSLA is misleading the public on this one. Raycom wants to gouge DirectTV for retransmission yet they make it sound like DirectTV is the bad guy. Screw Raycom, screw KSLA.

acrossel,Am glad I've read many of the comments,I was under the impression it was DirectTV at fault, but seems to be not the case.I am elderly and in remission from lung cancer and I really enjoy NCIS,Blue Bloods, etc and watching Charlie Rose in the morning. This is such a situation where greed is in control. Hopefully it will end soon.
