Shreveport Station Hires New Chief Met

TV Spy reports KSLA/Channel 12 Shreveport has hired a new chief meteorologist.  Jeff Castle comes to the ArkLaTex from Huntsville, Alabama where he was the morning met at Raycom's WAFF.

As reported here first in January Steve Parr is leaving the station. Parr has been with KSLA since 2012.

It shows that StormTracker Steve (Stephen Parr) started KSLA in 2012, but that is incorrect. Steve Parr began with KSLA in June 2007.

From what I hear, Stormtracker Steve's last show is Friday, so it might be Monday.

A ha, so they did hire from within Raycom after all. Just not from the Tyler station like they normally do. He looks young so I doubt he will be there four years from now.

Stephen Parr really had no idea what he was doing. He tracked storms!! My phone tracks just as many. He brought NOTHING original to KSLA.
odd bird.

Yes it is, and it gets worse every time I come back to town. It's embarrassing to watch.

I have to agree with your statement. KSLA really is an embarrassment. I get back to Shreveport once or twice a month, and KSLA gets worse every trip. The only one who does not get on my nerves is Adrea. The rest should find work in some other field. KTBS is not much better, but shockingly KTAL has drastically improved. They still have a long way to go, but they are not joke they once were.

I like everything about KTAL, but Todd Warren and his odd banter and cheap clothes.

Todd's been at KTAL almost 15 years and he's not going anywhere. I don't have enough fingers and toes to count the all the on-air staff who've come and gone during that time.

I see this douchey-haircut more and more. What is it with this? Haircuts like this belong on little boys not men. It looks like frat-boy douche-style all "lubed up for action".

All these folks that bad mouth KSLA must work for another station, or they would reveal their identity, just a bunch of morons.

Steve is co-hosting a tea-bagger radio talkshow on KEEL AM 710. BTW, I don't work for another station but I know several who do. There's considerable parallel to what I hear from them and read here. And I'll agree the new weatherguesser at KSLA's hairstyle looks like douchey-fratboy haircut. Grow up and get a better hairstyle, it looks douchey.
