KLRT Welcomes New Weekend Anchor

KLRT/Channel 16/Little Rock welcomed a new weekend anchor to the desk this weekend.  Susanne Brunner joins KLRT from CBS 13 in Sacramento, CA.  She can be seen each weekend anchoring alongside Meteorologist Natalie Walters and Jason Snavely.

Good! Does that mean they wised up and moved that Hubert off the desk. It is so hard to watch stumble and stammer over his words when he is reporting live. Example: When he was live right after a tornado went through or when the fireworks storage building caught fire. He was just terrible.

Fox has a weekend show? I thought they merged with Ch. 4 and went away?

No. FOX16 News is still in business. Here is the station's newscast schedule:

"Good Day Arkansas" (M-F, 7-9 a.m.)
"FOX16 News at 5:30" (M-F, 5:30-6 p.m.)
"FOX16 News at 9" (Every night, 9-10 p.m.)

FOX16 also produces a business news show called "Talk Business" (Sundays, 10-10:30 p.m.)

Fox 16 may still have programming but no Kelly Dudzik. Little Rock's loss is Buffalo's gain.

Fox 16 still has their own news. But it's the same crap from the same crappy reporters at KARK.

I am so happy that Hubert isn't on the weekend anymore, he was terrible. I still love Fox 16 despite deathstars effort to destroy it, I just quit watching KARK since they show the exact same thing now.

I watched both products on Monday or Tuesday. Although there was some same stories, a lot of the content was different. The delivery is very different. I also watched 7 and 11 and the same news of the day was there as well. Not one station was covering any specific big story that the others were not.

11:15 you are correct. However, the problem for me is that 4/16 run the exact same package on both stations. The reporter my not even change the graphic package to match the stations graphic package. At times when the reporter tosses back to the anchor they usually ask the same question(s) that the other station asked 30 minutes earlier. Plus 16 has many more mistakes now audio is not turn up, wrong intro plays, wrong video for story plays, wrong graphic. It really looks 16 is the step child.

To me it makes both stations look cheap and lazy.

I agree with one of the other bloggers. Since Fox and KARKTV are the same, I no longer watch the evening news on KARK.

If Nexstar the Deathstar could get away with using puppets or computer generated anchors and reporters they'd do it. They don't care about news, quality, viewers, the community, it's all about $$$. Heck, if they could get rid of news and just keep affiliate programming they'd do that too.

That has been discussed.

It is all about money and getting viewers to watch so they can sell more time to make money. A vast wasteland.

Who is Kelly Dudzik?

Kelly Dudzik was a former anchor and reporter for Little Rock's FOX16 News (KLRT). She left the station a few months ago for WGRZ-TV in Buffalo, NY.
