More New Faces at 11

A number of new faces have popped at KTHV/Channel 11/Little Rock.  At least 2 new reporters have been hired at the station. They include:

Kevin Trager from KCWY-TV, the NBC affiliate in Casper, WY.

and Marlisa Goldsmith from KRBC in Abilene, Texas. Her bio states she's been with 11 since April but I don't remember seeing her until lately.

Meanwhile their jobs page still lists numerous openings...including openings for an evening news anchor...and numerous producer openings.

Every time I watch KARK (once a week) They now have a new, male weather-guesser. What a turnover of personnel. But not the only station with that problem. Wonder why all the coming and going.

It's broadcasting. People always trying to make it to the top without any success. Check your company's retirement program real good and then leave.

Hello THV. It ain't workin'. Whose idea was the out-of-focus camera in the "garden" along with the house-trailer-looking set and lack of lighting?

Maybe KARK is rotating interns in & out the door. Free labor.

Is that where the guy is that insists on saying "Nyune" instead of "Noon." Won't go far.

Interns is were it's at. They work for free and most are as good as the paid help. Management 101.

Some are and some are not. Of the interns I have worked with over the past 20+ years, only 1 in 5 actually stick around long enough to be hired. Most leave at the end of the semester, or change majors.

They see how disgusting the pay is and lack of praise for doing a good job and seek other means of supporting themselves over their working lifetime. Smart choice.

Where is Pam Baccam these days? Did she get out of the business?

I can fully understand why someone would want to get out of Abilene and go just about anywhere.

BTW, why doesn't someone do a story on something in Eudora, Arkansas?

Or how many of the Coke machines in yards across Arkansas actually work.
