Shreveport Station Bringing in New Anchors/Reporters

KTAL is getting several new staff members. In this week are Stephanie Claytor and Kimberly Rusely. In coming weeks Dan and Jacque Jovic (a husband and wife team) will be in to coanchor the morning show and 10 pm weekday shows. Lots of changes to go along with the new HD set and all in time for sweeps.

Stephanie Claytor comes to KTAL from KTVO in Kirksville, MO where she was a weekend anchor
Dan and Jacque Jovic come to KTAL from WJW, FOX 8 in Cleveland, Ohio. In his goodbye video for FOX 8 Dan says he will be morning anchor and provide occasional reporting both on-air, and online.
Also in the video Jacgue Jovic says she will be KTAL's evening anchor.

Not arguing with your tip. Just a statement that was provided at Fox 8 about Dan's departure. It says he will be morning anchor and occaisonal reporter. His wife Jacque has signed on to be be the evening anchor. Guess we will see who's leaving..........
yes that's true. he will coanchor the morning show. she will coanchor the nighttime show. no one is leaving these are just added positions.
Dan is very good looking. Guess I will have to start watching KTAL's morning show again.
It's nice to see KTAL is going back to the co-anchor format again. At one time they had co-anchors for all the newscasts. Even the weekends. New set. New anchors. KTAL acts like they really want to improve.
Judging from Jacque statement in that goodbye video, it sounds like they are moving to North Bossier.
Looks like KSLA & KTBS will be getting some audience shift. This may just be enough to make viewers drift away from 12 & 3. Guess James & George will have to do some razza-ma-tazz to hold on to share.
That would be a change. 12 and 3 have dominated this market for so long it would be a huge accomplishment if 6 did take over the #1 position.
So Jacque will be doing the 10:00 weeknights? Interesting.
Your right, Dan really is good looking. When does he start? I think I'll get up earlier so I can watch KTAL's morning show. Looks like I'm about to have a new tv news husband.

Yikes! Going to have some sleep adjustments for sure.
BTW... I don't think KTAL will be Number #1 anytime soon. What is more likely going to happen is that they will be the "Spoiler" 3rd-place candidate that will take eyeballs away from 3 & 12. Another thing more likely to happen is that if KTAL Newscasts get better audience shares, it will boost their ad revenues and probably take some of the cost-per-point value away from 3 & 12 as far as regional / national spot buy is concerned.
Good move for 6, after being the bastard stepchild of TV in the ArkLaTex for decades, they might actually get a chance to make more than a distant 3rd and actually inject some life in this dumpy-market.

Dan will be the morning show co-anchor. His wife Jacque will be doing the 10:00.
Can't wait to see Dan alongside Patrick and Leslie. And Jacque with Nick at night will likely be good too. Good move KTAL.

With "Nick at Nite" and Dan in the morning, KTAL may have the two cutest guys in the market now. Just my opinion anyway!
