More Signal Issues with 4 on Directv
Seems KARK is having more issues with its signal over Directv systems. The station posted on facebook it is sorry and is working with Direct to fix the issue:
We cover the TV News biz of Little Rock and the Ark-La-Tex(Shreveport,LA) AND Northwest Arkansas TOO!

KARK doesn't care about its Directv customers. This has been going on since the olympics two years ago.
I'm in the same boat as other DirecTV customers here. I'm convince, yes, that the issue lies with DTV but KARK needs to take this as a major customer service issue and dedicate an engineer to work with DTV to isolate and correct the issue.
Why? Because I won't watch KARK until the issue is corrected. I won't watch the ads, or the news, or any of the content until the issue is fixed. Do you think this affects DTV as much as it does KARK? No, not at all. DTV offers several hundred other options in crystal clear digital quality. KARK is really dropping the ball on this and not getting out in front and offering any assistance they can BEFORE the new primetime schedule kicks in. Let me put my viewer hat on here, if given the opportunity to sample some of the new NBC content will I sit through the endless pixelation or will I give the other networks the opportunity to cater to my demographic?
So if any of you management or engineering gurus associated with KARK see the value in getting DTV's KARK signal fixed, kudos and thanks, otherwise this will start affecting your books.
10:46 and 4:09 I am a former KARK employee and I am also a fellow DirecTV subscriber. No matter what they say KARK really doesn't care if you watch or not. I don't know what is causing this particular problem but it looks like nothing is going to be done about it. Luckily NBC doesn't have any good spots so we are not missing much.
Directv customers aren't the only ones who lose the signal. I live in a small town which means small town cable company. We lose the signal too.
Spend about 30 bucks, use an antenna, and get it over-the-air.
not a chance I'd buy an antenna just to insure delivery of the KARK signal. I pay good money for DirecTV. Every other channel looks great. The onus to fix this lies with KARK. I won't complain, I just won't watch them if they'd rather just ignore the problem.
I bet they don't ignore the DTV subscribers when it comes time to sell commercials.
If you are having a problem then make an official complaint with the Mike's.

funny thing. went out and purchased a decent RCA HD over the air antenna today. It has an amplifier option as well. Moved the antenna around several times, raised the aerials and scanned the channels at least four times. Every available channel in LR was located except guess who? None of 4's channels were found. I believe 22 channels were located but not KARK's. I live in West Little Rock near the Promenade so you'd think I'd have a decent chance of pulling in their over the air digital signal.
I ran into the same problem. I live in Bryant. Channel 4's signal sucks. I've complained and they don't seem to care. At least it's just channel 4. The only thing worth watching is NBC News and Football. The local news has gotten worse than ever. So no real loss there.
You are so correct. None of the networks have anything fit to watch these days. Rather watch History, AMC or some other network.
No Suares or Dean for DirectTV viewers?
That would suck.
We aren't missing anything any way. NBC used to be the #1 network. Now that was when Friends and Frazier were on the air. Both Friends and Frazier ended the same season and NBC went from the #1 network to the #3 network. Then to the #4 network where it has stayed ever since.
That's true. It just goes to show that two shows were generating most of NBC's ratings. Those low ratings for NBC seem to have rubbed off on the local affiliates and LR is no exception. In many markets the NBC station is #3 or #4 in ratings. Since a lot of us can't get a good signal from KARK that makes matters even worse.
I miss the old Thursday must see tv shows, but even if those shows were still on I couldn't see them with 4's crappy signal. I'm in WLR and having the same problems with 4 you all are having.
What do you expect from a network that interviewed a nasty tramp like kris jenner rather than observe a brief moment of silence on 9/11. I swore never to watch NBC after that and it certainly hasn't been difficult since their programming sucks.
I didn't see that because I couldn't get the signal. All the other channels were fine except Spike. Their signal digitizes all the time.
Yo quiero Suares y Dean!
NBC botched up the tape delay broadcast of the Olympic closing ceremonies. What do you expect?
How will they be able to compete with A Honey Boo Boo Christmas?
NBC's Olympics coverage has sucked for years. Not only did they mess up the closing ceremony, but they also edited out about 25 minutes of the opening ceremony. Wish NBC would have gotten a reaction shot of Romney during the 18 minute salute to the NHS National Health Service.
Fixed.
What's fixed?
What's funny is you are all wrong. Might have been weak but still one of the highest rated Olympics of all time according to trades.
No, we are not wrong. Regardless of the ratings we hated the coverage. I had to get info from friends in England telling me about stuff NBC didn't/wouldn't talk about.
So the best promos Allen Snyder at KARK can do is get people that worked for him at KLRT to act like a viewer....NICE Allen.
Problems with DTV are fixed.
Okay, who is the new "read what the NWS forecast is and change it just a little for the viewers" on KARK? I think Sarah on THV has him beat, but that's not saying very much. No offense to anyone.
Good, thanks for getting that fixed.
So what's the verdict - was it on Directv's end or KARK?
My understanding from Direct was they replaced a dish and can now receive it fine.
This is not only direct tv it is also dish
I have antenna only and have always had good Ch 4 reception on all my tvs till a few days ago. Now I get nothing on 4 on all tvs. I tried rescanning and none of them even see ch 4. I live 45 miles NE of LR - no cable up here.
I too use only an antenna and have always had good reception on channel 4 until a couple of weeks ago and now no picture at all. There must be something going on besides Direct TV. All other Little Rock Stations are clear as ever. Come on channel 4 and get the problem fixed.
I only use antenna & still no reception. So not direct tv problem now. Kark not fixing. They don't care about any viewers.
Antenna & still no signal. They don't respond to inquiries.
Live in Maumelle & no reception with antenna & hdtv. All other stations clear as a bell. Have contacted them allot of times. No answers just saying working on it. Been over month now.
It is not working with a hdtv antenna. So problem is tv station & not cable providers. Don't you love how they pass the buck. We need to contact the atty general ofc.
Kark evidently because still no reception with hdtv antenna
The more liberal they become the more I find something else to watch. And no I don't watch Fox news but the news should be just that, news, not liberal or conservative... I don't care how they feel about any subject. I'm an adult and don't need they're influence to make up my mind. In fact I resent it.
