Anchor Go Round Weekends Continue at 7
Seems KATV is having a difficult time finding a replacement for former weekend anchor Heather Crawford. Since Crawford's departure in mid August it seems every reporter and weekday anchor has popped up as the weekend anchor. I would bet it's difficult to find a quality anchor just for the weekend as with quality you have to pay well.

No, 10:59 is not a journalist! She's the hair police! You mean you've not read her previous posts about how this anchor would look better with a shorter, more professional hairstyle? Or how that anchor would look better with a slightly layered cut? I mean, her posts are the highlight of this blog--because really, what else is more important than hair?
Hair police or not, I agree with her post. That was just weird! Please do not hire teenagers to read the news. I don't want to get my news from a girl who I'd be scared to hit on for risk of jail bait accusations.

Just my opinion, but I thought she was the best they've put out there. I'd watch her over Pam or KARK.

they really should make Roger the weekend anchor, but won't because they are too scared to have 3 guys on the desk. after watching eveyone, it's clear he's the only one who can do it well.
If we disregard the new girl's appearance and makeup, I think she actually did better than the redhead who stumbles over every story.
I actually thought the new girl was pretty good but a little inexperienced. Why don't they let Roger and the new girl both do it like they do over at Fox? I like the two anchor approach.
Why do people keep mentioning Rodger? He has already said he doesn't want to sign a contract! Case closed, move on!

We mention Rodger because he is the only one who can do the job in house. They will have to hire outside if they don't use him.
But Rodger has probably already thought this through and realizes they won't pick him simply because he is a guy, and that would put 3 guys and no women on the desk.
I really like Roger and think he would do a good job, but let's be honest. Anchoring a weekend newscast is not that difficult. They can find a lot of people who would be perfectly acceptable.
Lauren Trager is the best weekend anchor since Heather left for FL. She is easily understood, professional in both in reporting and getting the main parts of the story across, and doesn't over do on the wardrobe and the hair is nice.
Hey speaking of "Ms. Reyes", could one of you 7ers hold her hand a bit more? It's embarrassing for everyone in our business when she makes all those factual errors in her stories.
