Shreveport Morning Anchor Bids Farewell
KTBS, Channel 3 Morning Anchor Sonja Bailes anchored for the last time this morning. Bailes is getting out of the tv biz as she heads off to the Bossier Parish School Board. KTBS reporter Rick Rowe sat down with Bailes this morning to talk about her 10 year stint as a morning anchor at channel 3.

Good luck Sonja! Missing you already.
Good bye Sonja and best of luck with your new job at BPSB! And welcome to the Former KTBS Employees Association. Girl its wonderful being out of local broadcasting. If your new job is like mine your work stress level will decrease about 90% like mine did.
Will the last one to leave Channel 3, please turn out the lights?
Looks like that could be very soon. Just saw on the web site two more openings were added to the list today.
I'm all for tributes but like okay..enough already. This broke the local yokel podunkiness meter. Did they sell sponsorship packages to this big group hug send-off?
Hurrrrrlllllll!!
Well of course they did. Have to make money every way they can. Can't wait to see who all sponsors the station Christmas promos they were shooting in front of the station the other day.
Thank god it's over. Barf-bag central!
Barf-bag central, lol!
The send off was pretty much.
Just another example of what KTBS means:
Keep the Bull Shit!
Never watched KTBS much so I really don't know what all the fuss was about.
I think Rick Rowe essentially does the same type of story over and over. He just adds new names, changes the background music and goes heavy on the sentimentality. IRRRK!!
Another long-standing on-air personality leaves KTBS. Must be something in the water...
Nahh...just the writing on the wall.
Saw where Stephen Mayer is leaving. Wonder if Rick will do a tearful send off for him too?
Sniff...Sniff... Sonja's gone...BOO HOO! Stephen Mayer's gone...WAAAH!!
Sherri Talley's been gone... DOUBLE-WAAAH! Trish Woliford left too...BOO-Double-HOO!!
Really...does anybody really give a rat's A? KTBS has been lame for years and getting lamer each month. I keep waiting for their next big station branding promotion series...
what happened to the "We're On Your Side" Jingle package? (Barf-City)... that thing was from the late 1980's I think.
Might be fun to start an office pool and bet on who will be the next anchor to leave KTBS.
Someone at BP Schools said they got Sonja on board to help push PR for the upcoming bond issue.
