Gone As an Anchor Can Get......

This from the tip jar:Heard from a reliable source that long-time anchor Sherry Talley from KTBS is Shreveport packed her desk up and left the building stating "she can't take this anymore". She's done this before and some say it may be a ploy to get more $$$ but those close to the source say KTBS management is cutting back & consolidating duties to the point that the strain is showing.
Stay tuned...

I have wondered what happened to her...and I am not impressed with the female anchor they picked to replace her with...

The Station Manager
George Sirven has talked her into coming back in the past when she pulled this, let's hope he's to cheap to bring her back this time.

Seems like it's official. She's announced her "retirement" on facebook.

More departures from KTBS? Seems like anyone with experience is leaving KTBS and it shows. Too many glitches in the newscasts and you can almost sense the tension from the anchors as they plow through it. Anyone have a lead on their last ratings? Wonder what their next book will be like after all this?
It's true...the last one to leave KTBS, please turn off the lights. (because the auto-switch probably won't work.)

Who is her replacement? Sounds typical of KTBS to have a replacement ready that quick.

I think Crissi Coile (who has been on staff for years) is going to sub-anchor until a replacement is found.

Yet one more reason not to watch. I can't bring myself to watch KTAL so I guess I'll have to do like the old people and watch KSLA.

You know things would not be like this if you get George Sirven and the Wray family out of the station. There are to many members of the Wray family drawing pay checks from the station, but they only come in for 30 minutes a month.

The Wrays have never really cared about the business of TV. The old man E. Newton Wray ran the place out of his head but when he died all the other Wrays had no clue as to what to do. This was a ripe opportunity for Sirven to handle things for Edwin who would rather play with his gun collection than anything else. The only thing the Wrays are passionate about is their money...they have no clue about broadcasting, journalism or the fifth estate and they couldn't care less. They will let Sirven reach over dollars so he can pocket the pennies much to the detriment of the company just as long as their checks keep coming.

Oh good grief...Chrissi...really? Yep, that's KTBS, the cheap way out.

Crissi is very good, imho.

Chrissi is very attractive and pleasant, but seems to trip over some words, and mispronounce others. I've seen her on the air for a couple of years so I wouldn't put it down to inexperience. Perhaps if she tried a little harder.

Who doesn't trip over a few words? Chriss is the consummate professional. She is a hometown girl and an asset to KTBS. Hopefully she spreads her wings and soars.

Crissi's not bad... she is pleasant enough to look at and her delivery isn't bad. Won't say she's the best at anchoring but given this market... who really is?

Given the grammar on this post, somebody with three teeth would do. You guys don't mind if I apply, huh?
