well he's got Sydney from KARK to keep him in line too...sad day to see her and Tom leave central Arkansas, but Tom should shape up that crew of "reporters" they have up there

We could start with Ms. Hardin. Most of the reporters at KNWA (or in NWA) are prettier than her, could write better and certainly report better.
It's sad to see how nepotism works in this business. Ms. Hardin is a prime example.

Brook has worked almost evry angle of the newsroom. This is the best hire at the position that KNWA has had. So many people on here complain that they are never given a shot to improve themselves and then this happens and you complain. Congrats Brook glad to see someone who has worked hard gets a shot.
Brook, remember when you wanted to leave? Remember when you were pissed off? I told you to stay, told you that local news was like playing a game. If you just stick around long enough, it doesn't matter if you're a floor op or whatever...stick with it long enough and you'll be news director. You must have listened, because you've proved me right. Congratulations, now knock it out of the park!
What are Sydney and Tom doing? Are they returning to KNWA?
Its real easy to become a news director when you are the only one who applies!!! That should tell you something right there!! Way to go brook the only one stupid enough to apply for a small market nexstar job!!
KNWA's new GM is a smart guy. He's so much better than the past GM. Promoting Brook and hiring Syndey is a fantastic idea. Way to go Mike!
Jeff Whatley is the best. He can run a sat truck, feed fish, and save the environment all at the same time.
Greg runs a desk like no one can. He knows a chopper story when he sees it. And he's got great abs.
KARK has the best producers in Arkansas. They can write vo's and most importantly they're smokin hot!!!

Matt Thibault is the greatest chief photographer ever. He's got a killer hair cut and never complains when his star reporter needs to take a trip to Sonic.
Bob is the best male anchor ever. He even knows how to hook up a laptop with out a %&$###@ telephone cord. Oh and he's hot!
Aaron Nolan is the best sports reporter in the business

At least Brook won't micro-manage like his predecessor, but that's because he'll be too tied up with updating a myspace page for a fictional monkey named "Kenwah." Have you guys heard about this? Unfortunately, I'm not joking.
If you all think that's all he does, you should get off your myspace pages and get back to work.

I stumbled across Kenwah's blog and started reading it last year. Why hasn't Brook updated it in months?
He's the boss so he can blog for Kenwah on company time!
Brook plans his days around lunch... and there's hardly ever anyone listening to scanners except a few reporters and maybe an anchor or two. Even when he was the assignment editor he never listened to the scanners. Hard to get breaking news in that newsroom. That's a real advantage the other stations have over KNWA, there's no urgency for someone to keep an ear to the scanners at KNWA.
For KFTA-DT fox viewers in NWA, the station is off the air.
Tune channel 700 SD or Channel 701 HD on Directv and you will be able to watch the game.
How does that jingle go?
It's a brand new day, watch KNWA.
What do they need a news director for? Most of what they cover is what they have read in the morning news. No real reporting. When was the last time you saw them at any emergency. Or footage of what has taken place at an emergency scene.
This will not really have effect, I consider like this.
