Changes in Monroe/El Dorado
This from a tipster: KTVE (NBC10) in West Monroe, LA has a new reporter and new weekend anchor. I believe the new anchor's name is Melissa Clark. I don't know how interested people are about hearing from this market, but there's big news coming out of Monroe- El Dorado . After Hoak Broadcasting took over KNOE last week, they fired GM Roy Frostenson (sp?). He will stay on as a consultant for six months before leaving the station.

I think it is pretty interesting. I went to school in Hot Springs and I was able to pick up KTVE and KNOE both.I think their 2 nice small town stations.Kinda behind on resources, but their decent stations for a small market.
More details? Been gone from Monroe for a while, but didn't realize the family had finally let go of the station.
Never thought I'd see the day KNOE would be sold.
Maybe they can get a new website now. The current one is bad, so bad you cannot even use the roller on the mouse to scroll up and down. And how long have they had the same "TV8" logo?
The station was sold this summer... the FCC finally finalized the sale about two weeks ago. I would expect to see a lot of changes at KNOE. They've already sold the FM radio station. KTVE is in the process of being bought by Nexstar... but, no word on when that sale will be finalized.
KVTE's website SUCKS. Melissa Clark is not even in the news bios (at least not yet). What's up with that. It still leaves the same burning question, is she as hot as Melinda Mayo.
I like the slender guy who was there for a while doing the weekends.
