Finally! Us NWA people are can finally watch America's Next Top Model and Everybody Hates Chris.
Which station will be on Cox? Is it The CW from Little Rock or Tulsa?
Hearst has been w/holding the CW since they took over the signal. I guess they settled differences w/cox cable and payment issues
I kinding figuring it for CW 12 from Tulsa.
If it's Hearst CW then they have settled and ABC is good too. If it's another market's CW then look for 40/29 to go off Cox on the 1st.
What is the source of this info? Where is a release fron Cox or Hearst or whoever is the owner.
I believe it's a CW Plus cable station. The info I got was just about Cox and the CW, nothing about a local station. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_CW_Plus
I'm probably the source. I got this via email from the CW:
We're pleased to tell you that we have good news! As of this afternoon Cox Communications and The CW reached and agreement to bring The CW back to Northwest Arkansas. You'll be able to catch your favorite CW programming on or before September 18th.
The CW will be on these stations in the following markets:
Ft. Smith: channel 22
NW AR (Fayetteville, Springdale, Bentonville & Rogers): channel 4
Siloam Springs: channel 17
Thank you again for your patience and persistence and thank you for being a faithful CW viewer!

Those are not stations they are cable channels. I believe Hearst bought the CW but doesn't have a stick for it they were just going to stick it on cable. I'm not sure if they have clearance on DBS either. I'm sure it's a part of the ABC clearance also. Anyone know?
i see nothing about hearst..maybe since they have done nothing the contract lapsed? the way i take this is that cox is putting the cw plus on like they did the wb before we had one of equity's low powers..even though all they did was run wb plus and insert local ads and id's. What i don't understand is why cox didn't do this last year..is it because of the hearst thing you are talking about?? maybe they had first rights for a year and when nothing happened cox got to put the cw cable channel on? just a guess
Hearst-Arygle isn't to blame *this time*, its Equity which cast its lot with MNTV instead of The CW in NWA last year.
FWIW, Non cable subscribers in parts of NWA can get The CW OTA via KQCW-19 (Muskogee/Tulsa) and KYTV-DT (via a digital subchannel, SDTV only though) in the Springfield (MO) viewing area.
no one is to "blame" cox could have put the cw plus cable channel on last year if they wanted to..but from what i understand a contract could not be agreed on? just pay the network what they want to put the channel on the air..put it on the channel you put the digital previews on...if we want the digital channels we will shell out the bucks for the tiers!
the station brands itself as northwest arkansas cw
my cox guide says it has the call letters KCWA
You cable people really amaze me. Why would you even think of subscribing to cable when there is Directv out there?
Can cable bring you WABC, WCBS, WNBC? No.
What's the status with KHBS and cable? It's been very quiet. Did anyone ever come up with an answer about whether this post has anything to do with KHBS and Cox?
if it has call letters than it is just for cable its not a broadcast station its the cw cable channel.its on the air now just running 24 hour cw network and syndicated stuff like the wb did. matter of fact most of the syndicated stuff is what wb ran..
i found this from the morning news :
Cox Communications will add The CW Television Network to its channel lineups in the Fort Smith and northwest Arkansas service areas on or before Tuesday.
According to a news release, Cox cable customers will be able to view the channel on cable channel 22 in the Fort Smith area, on channel 4 in Fayetteville, Springdale, Rogers and Bentonville and channel 17 in Siloam Springs.
The CW was created from a merger of the UPN and WB networks in 2006.
Although prior to the merger UPN and WB stations in Arkansas were carried on Cox Cable systems, no CW affiliate was available to carry on the systems after it.
Kelly Zega, Cox spokeswoman, said The CW still has no local affiliate, but the company has worked out an agreement with the network to carry a direct, network broadcast feed of its programming on its cable systems.
On the cable channels used for CW programming, she said syndicated programming the CW purchases for each channel's market will be aired when network originated content isn't scheduled for broadcast.
any ideas for those using Dish Network in NWA?
Yeah, switch to Directv. More channels, more HD channels, best DVR box.
Please bring back Gilmore Girls I love Gilmore Girls I watch everyday on abc family but I need to make new ones please bring it back

You can order a CW affiliate via the Superstation Package.
The following are available:
--WPIX New York ch. 234;
--KWGN Denver ch. 235;
--KTLA Los Angeles ch. 232.
It's only $1.50/month extra.
It will not succeed as a matter of fact, that is what I consider.
