Morkert to Portland
Well, we now know what station former KATV Jessica Morkert moved to. Morkert is now a reporter at KOIN in Portland, Oregon. Morkert had been with KATV since September 2004.

Jess did an excellent job here... kept improving and growing.. then got a shot in a big market. She will do well there !

I would like the thank the former Mr Jessica Morkret aka Tyler Baldwin for letting us in on Jess's road to glory.
So it's just Pam, now huh. We know the next person is not going to be black. Gotta love KATV

Michelle Rupp used to be a dove... now she is more like a passenger pigeon. Her career is extinct !!!
Too bad for Jessica; KOIN is the worst local station in Portland. Also the cheapest by far.
And KOIN is still bigger and better than anything in Arkansas.
Just spoke to Ms. Morkert last night. Not only is she happy with her new job, she's enjoying her schedule, making more money and doesn't miss the Natural State at all. Her goal was always to get back West and she has. A number 3 station in Portland (Market 23) pays a lot more than a number 1 in Little Rock (market 57).
Perhaps if you naysayers would spend more time on your work and putting together tapes, you would make a similar jump.
