New KARK Weekend Met Makes on Air Debut
An e-mailer sent in a tip that Jason Kadah is KARK's new weekend meteorologist and Kadah made his on air debut Thursday. According to info found on the world wide web, Kadah comes to Little Rock from KVIA in El Paso, Texas. HERE's a link to his bio at KVIA.com .

His last job was actually at WJXT in Jacksonville, Florida.
He came to wjxt in july of 2005...didn't even last a year...Hope you all like him better than the viewers did down here...

I know this has nothing to do with this subject, but I had to post somewhere. I'm watching the coverage of the death of Win Rock on Fox 16 News. While their coverage is thorough and good, I have two observations that are driving me crazy. I have counted about 4 spelling mistakes such as communication spelled "commication" and calendar spelled "calander"- can these people not spell? hello, college degree, anyone? Please proof before you go on the air!
Also, if I was running the prompter for their anchor, I would have to quit. She speaks sooooooooooooo slowly!
I cannot STAND the mother-nature spots.

Wow, some of you Arkansas people are nasty. I worked with Jason in Jacksonville, FL. The guy made an immediate impact and the morning show had some of the best numbers ever. Can't tell you how many emails we received about him leaving. He and the news director didn't see eye to eye. Big deal. Once you rookies mature in the biz a while, you'll see stuff like that happens. The guy has good experience and will do well wherever he goes.
Previous poster.....Oh, it's really not that bad...it's just that KARK carries such negative baggage. It's everything from their present air presence to their past where Al S. ran that place into the ground. So the poor weather guy could be aces but will suffer right along with the rest of the nextar bunch. Oh yes and right along with mother nature.

Didn't "see eye to eye" with the news director in JAX...or Brownsville or Allentown or Ft. Myers or El Paso either? A degree in Aeronautics??? Some additional studies in meteorology from Miss. State.? Is he a meteorologist or not? I can't tell.
No he points at graphics and gets shows ou the green spots. Why hire this guy? There has to be better people to hire? Did KARk only get one tape?

you know, I find myself glad for channel 4. They have a really long way to go and obviously THV has really established themselves over the past few years. What a mountain to go up against. But probably the best thing about the landscape is KATV getting what they deserve. The big pard has had his run for long enough. Being one of his numerous fired past...I've experienced first hand how he operates. Think of the folks that have been toasted for the sake of the bottom line...that bottom line is smaller and smaller and so are the numbers there. Good luck to you KARK. And THV, keep up the good work. You definitly have the best web site. I wish for the healthy competition to return. Guess 7 just won't be as big a player. `maybe they should get `houston `nutt to anchor. Too bad the good folks there have to suffer for such a self-sustaining hunk of crap as Dale. Oh yes even their Tulsa station has dredged. sorry pard.

I liked the new guy on 4 doing weekend weather. He seems very talented. I work at another station, and I didn't think he was bad at all.

I can only speak for myself, I really enjoyed Jason when he was in Jacksonville. And was very sad when he left. Wished he would come back. I wish him the best where ever he is. Everytime i watch the weather and news here i miss him.< Mdroopyd in jacksonville>
He was great! Funny guy. Miss seeing him on WJXT. Why did he leave?
Why did he leave? To come and work for a station that "IS NEWS".
Let me tell you something--
I dated Jason for almost two years while he was working in El Paso. He is a dedicated, hard-working professional who enjoys what he does. I know the kind of schedule he had, the news director he had to put up with, and the constant comments from people less talented than he. I will tell you this, those who had such nasty comments about Jason--He's going to laugh when he reads them. Jason is highly confident and has the uncanny ability to brush off things that I would take SUCH offense to. He's so used to little bitchy comments by jealous little people that he himself will make fun of it!
Listen, I appreciate those who are supporting Jason--he is truly a fantastic person and he loves what he does. For those who choose to knock him, you don't know him and you're probably jealous. You'll never meet a funnier, more charismatic man...on or off the air. Give him a chance and I'll bet you'll love him.
And if Little Rock decides that they don't want him, send him on to Phoenix! We'd love for him to do the weather here if you guys can't appreciate (or comprehend) the level of humor Jason brings to the table.
As someone who actually was there in El Paso (Sept. '02- May '04) during Kadah's tenure at KVIA... Yeesh.
Not good enough to be on "Doppler Dave's" team. The man looked semi-suicidal at times and was sorely lacking in personality- especially during the noon news. As much as Rick Garcia tried to make nice-nice with the others (Hilary Floren as well)he always looked uncomfortable with Jason. Hopefully he's redeemed himself in LR.
Ack! I meant Robert instead of "Rick"... Thinking of Rick Cabrera I suppose...
Jason and I were very good email buddies when he was in Jax. I liked him and since he has been with this new station we still email each other. I met him and you will never meet anyone in your life that can make you laugh on air, off air, in person or via email. He is awesome!

Jason is missing from Kren TV in Spokane as of June 2, 2010. Anyone know why?
So, I don't actually believe this will have effect.
