This from a tipster: "KSLA has posted the job opening for evening news co-anchor, which means Michelle White is likely on her way out to possibly take a position on former KSLA general manager Ed Bradley's mayoral election staff. "

Thats a shame...b/c I started watching KSLA because Michelle really impressed me. Its difficult to choose between her and Sherry Allen...but I guess if Michelle leaves it'll be back to three for me!
Gwen Campbell is rumored to replace her.

We haven't seen the last of Ms. White-Lafitte. It's a good bet she'll be involved in the Bradley campaign. But the none of the rumors about her replacement are true.
David Begnaud will probably take her place unless KSLA would prefer that Michelle's position be filled by another female. That is my guess anyway.
While we're talking of people leaving KSLA -- what the hell happened to Lynnea Fayard last year? Man -- was that a quick out the door, no goodbye departure.

Michelle was the best anchor in the city of Shreveport. We have suffered a huge lost. Who ever replaces her will have huge shoes to fill.

She's been gone from KTAL since Jan 2013. They say she "resigned" ...uh...make that she was offered a decent "severance" to "go away and not come back".
She was (to use her words & speech pattern) HHhhhhhooooRRRRRRrrruuuuubbbbblllllleee! (Uh that's "Horrible" in normal-speak).
