Are Local Sports Anchors Obsolete?
The DC Examiner analyzes the state of sports news in the local newscasts in Washington DC. The situation sounds very familiar to what's happening right here in the Natural State.
This paragraph of the article jumped out at me:
"The stars of local TV news are the weather forecasters who get about six minutes per newscast. That means that no matter how talented the sports anchor is, they really have to rush. Don't even get me started about the 11p.m. news, when sportscasters are cut off in mid-sentence by anchors who ask the weatherman about the bus stop forecast!"

Yes, they are. Except at KNWA. I understand sports runs the station.
Mark is obsolete...
sports runs KNWA because their news and weather departments are obsolete
Where the hell do you get that KNWA's News and Weather Departments are obsolete?!
katv's news and weather departments are obsolete...7 is sports
The whole thing is obsolete according to Sinclair. Just get one team to do ALL the work throughout the chain
Looks like a bot has found the blog.
Oh I love BOTS!
Won't be long until BOTS replace the studio crews at KATV, KTHV, and KARK.
That's fine by me... as long as they are hot, female BOTS with nice racks !
I love local sports....but it sucks in LR
