Good riddance & take Big Red, Fake Christina, Outdoor Voice Alyson, Big Mel & the obnoxious sales/movie critic with him...

Alyson is going no where. She is responsible for pulling in the morning ratings for KATV. KATV's gain, Alyson, was THV"s loss. Alyse, THV's answer to combat Alyson's departure, has not been successful. The stats prove this.

I think Sugar Kane is helping the ratings and not ALLYSON!

And this is coming from a straight dude basing this on comments from his wife.
My mom and sister think Sugar Kane is hot, too.

Honey, are you profiling---- stereotyping and saying women want Sugha with their morning coffee? Naughty you. Are you suggesting that Sugha beats the Natural State's Beauty turned journalist? Shame, shame!!!!!!

She's not even on their entire morning show. Alyson magically appears about half hour into it every day.

KATV has recently lost two great reporters that have gone to larger market. Roger to Nashville; and Matt Johnson to San Diego. Best of luck!

"Great reporter?" There are no great reporters in this market, and there hasn't been in many years.

Look Roger is solid and will continue to do well, but there really are no great reporters in Little Rock. Great reporters don't work for the money this market pays, because great reporters are smarter than that.

The same is true for producers and photogs. The great ones find something else to do that keeps their kids off food stamps.

You are a fool if you think that is true. If you want to be a great reporter you have to spend time in a market like Little Rock. I think Channel 7 lost three top notch reporters in the last year wuth Stephanie, Matt, and Rodger. KARK lost one in Trager. It is hard to get on air jobs in a top 30 market...acting like LR doesnt produce good and great talent is absurd

You are young if you think any of those 4 hold a candle to the caliber of reporters this town had in years past. It's not their fault, it's just that they are young and haven't developed yet. They may indeed one day be great, but Little Rock won't ever see it again.

Pederson comes close, but then he's no Dwayne Graham either. It's just a sign of the decline of local tv in general, I suppose.

This thread remind me of when a spouse dies and you remarry. What I mean is you hold a candle to your former spouse, forgetting all the fights and crap you put up with.

I am sure if there was a blog 20 years ago, those current reporters were shit compared to the ones before them.

Things change and people are doing the best they can.

The quality of the product suffers now because you have to write more than one package, you have to pick up extra stories while out trying to get your own. And because there are live trucks and you are capable of feeding stories back through a computer, you are sent farther from home and pushed to get a story out in record time.
And don't forget reporters are expected to shoot and edit, giving them less time to story tell.

Things will only keep going in that direction guys.

We had live trucks 20 years ago. And we also had more fun.
