Local Blogger "Dislikes" KARK for Self Promotion
Seeing how the use of social media websites is being embraced by media worldwide, local blogger, Arkansas Patriot thinks one Little Rock TV station is carrying it just a little too far. Last week when a 4 year old boy went missing KARK invited its followers on its facebook page to "LIKE" the post to send prayers and thoughts to the family. THEN over the weekend when head U of A coach Bobby Petrino was involved in an accident the station put up a post to LIKE to send your support. Here's what Arkansas Patriot has to say, "Keep in mind this was well before any information had been released about Coach Petrino’s condition. We literally did not know if he was dead or alive. But, who cares! ”LIKE” away!
According to the Arkansas Patriot blogger one of the contributors to the blog has now been blocked by KARK from seeing its Facebook page. Ah, how professional.

I'm dying to know where this idea came from... duh!
I love how KARK doesn't even know how to spell their on governor's name. KARK posted that Arkansas governor Mike Bebee was going to China? Does no one check this stuff?
What do you expect? The new leader of the newsroom is from Texas.
ive seen a lot of stations use the "like" feature and i dont think its appropriate a lot of the time...i get what they were trying to do, but have viewers post comments, not click a "like" button
Anyone know who's call this way?
TV news is like Fast Food prepared by anxious people.
Check out the latest update on this story on ArkansasBusiness.com. The new news director comes off as an idiot.
