about putting Chrissi Coile as Gerry Mays' sidekick? I saw her anchoring the weekend edition of the news...and a tipster sends in this;
It appears like Chrissi Coile will no longer co anchor with Gerry. She was doing the health report, but she wasn't anchoring. Advertisements for a "main anchor" have aired recently

Oh really??? That is interesting. Looks like they had a minute of lucidity during this downward spiral. Chrissi is ok on the weekends and fill in, but she is not strong enough to be a co-anchor yet.
I see KTAL is also looking for a co-anchor. I guess if these candidates do not get the position at KTBS they can go for the one over at KTAL, and vise versa.
It's been years since KTAL had a co anchor.
Just wondering but I saw a studio shot of Chrissi and was wondering if she is expecting? Could be a factor if that's the case. Anyone know?
Yes. She is expecting and has refered to it in a piece or PSA.
Probably why she won't be anchor, about to take maternity leave I bet.
In that case Chrissi can go on maternity leave and just not come back. That is what all of the women at KTAL have done for the past two and a half years.
Is KTAL getting a bigger desk? Will KTAL be able to find a co-anchor small enough to squeeze in between Dave & Michelle? Todd won't want Michelle any closer. Michelle leans slightly toward Todd and he squirms in his chair...Maybe she makes him nervous.

Why is the pregnant Chrissi co-anchoring the 10 p.m. news while man Stephen is co-anchoring the 6 p.m. news? Are the late hours really good for Chrissi & her baby?
They pulled Chrissi off the 5 & 6, so she wouldn't think the job was hers permanantly.
Stephen was only put there as a placeholder.
Put the pregnant woman on the late night shift and let the man go home in broad daylight---
Why doesn't Stephen hold a place at 10 p.m. and Chrissi hold a place at 5 and 6 p.m.?

Why is Stephens on the desk to begin with?
Sorry to be blunt but I don't think the young guy Stephen is ready for anchoring yet. He's not awful just not ready yet.

The bosses at KTBS don't care.
Chrissi is married.
I just looked at the KTBS web site, and I did not see a posting for the co-anchors position. Are they just looking in house or what? Neither Chrissi or Stephen are strong enough to anchor or to co-anchor. When I see either one of them on the weekends or as fill in I change over to KSLA.
Chrissi was married two years ago this September. She's also expecting a baby boy mid-September
