Ok 4:00PM "Huh?"... I'll write it as simply as I can:

Now we can "See" lipgloss in High Definition.

What's so hard to understand about that?

Funny... a couple years ago it was all about "We're going DIGITAL!!" Now it's "We're HD!!" and sub-topics are: "We're WIDESCREEN!". So I guess we get to see and hear the same mediocrity in high-def.

Uh...gee... I wonder if they're going to work on being better journalists or reporters? And forget the anchors...they're readers, nothing more and nothing less.

KTBS is the best, bar none. Their weekends news is the only thing lacking. They are the market leader..leader at 4:30am news, 6pm news hour, 9pm news hour, widescreen news, and HD.

When it's all said and done, you've got all this hub-bub about who's best and has braggin' rights in a peeing contest that takes place in a mediocre small-podunk market. Outside of car-crashes, murders, robberies and bad weather, none of the stations do any journalism, they don't hold city officials to scrutiny except for rednecks like Webb.... there's so much stuff that goes on but no one wants to break a sweat doing serious reporting. It's all quick & dirty and in glorious HD. Get over yourselves...you're not that big a deal.

Seems like the last comment came from a KTAL worker...a station not in HD!!!

To the 11:25 AM Poster:

Nope, I don't work at KTAL.
I just find all this pissing contest over who has HD, who was first with it... etc. is such a joke. Looking at KTBS & KSLA, I can see better studio image from KSLA. Could be better lighting, better studio-cams/lensing... I dunno. On my 1080 plasma KSLA Studio output looks better as KTBS studio shots seem a tad softer. Is KTBS output in 720 or 1080? That could make a diff. (Incidentally...HD is considered anything 1280x720 or higher.)KMSS stuff seems muted (still coming in on Fiber from Tyler..even though they say BR.?) KTAL isn't in the HD playground yet.

I've noticed that NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams has the best Studio HD quality over ABC (gotta use facial softening circuitry for Diane ) and CBS is pretty good.

What makes for "local" HD promotion in Shrevepodunk is laughable.

KTBS is in the works of a news set..and thet are 720p..abc's default, they can't help that. i like the stories put out KTBS best.

Oh by the way, KMSS is not HD.
