Former KAIT Met Back at Station
This from a tipster: I'm not sure what's going on but I noticed tonight that Former KAIT meterologist Shane Carter Has returned, He used to be Hospital Administrator at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center, Before that He was at a Tulsa TV Station as a Meteorologist, Now back at KAIT and we have no idea why.

Don't get too excited. The station is down a staff weather dude and Shane is local and willing to help out until someone can be hired.
yes, It's only temporary, He's currently marketing director at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center and wants to also stay active in his meteorology skills and keep his rep up on tv so he's filling in for the weekend only or for as long as needed, He's apparently taking Chris Castleman's place which we have NO IDEA what happened to, He just dropped off the face of the earth!
Why are ALL the comments missing from the Chris Castleman thread? They just DISSAPEARED one day as quickly as Tim Ingram polishes off a large pizza.
KAIT couldn't afford to lure away Meredith Mitchell... the hottest met in Arkansas!
Chris Castleman just walked out, man. He thought he could take as many sick days as he wanted. Guess they caught up with him,huh?

Shane is a good meteorologist. I am sure it won't take him long to realize he is way too talented to help out that ragtag station for long. I am sure they will abuse him like they did when Angie Dickson offered to help out. Please come back Angie, we miss you!
Oh Gosh, I hadn't seen the Meredith Mitchell stalker in a while on this blog, was hoping he/she had been fired. Oh well. It appears from the 5:08 post she/he is still here. I suppose even if he/she got fired, they could still log on the web and come here....woe, woe, woe...

Chris Castleman was by far the best weather person KAIT had. He was solid. That was a BIG mistake letting him go. They want no-talents. He'll move on to something bigger. The guy was used as fill-in on GMA for god's sake. I heard he'd already interviewed at KTVK in Phoenix and KPIX in San Fran. The Arizona station only hires STUDS & BABES.

Mitch is sucking it up. His shows are so damn boring. They need Marini back. He was much more worth watching.
How many nights can the lead story involve a losing football game from the past weekend? There are many more lead story opportunities to find out there but sometimes you have to look for them and actually do some reporting.
Angie Dickson is the best talent KAIT will ever know! She is so polished and attractive. I am sure the anchors were shaking in their pumps when she came in to help out last year. Angie is the quality that station so sorely lacks!

Learn to spell 'assessment', genius! You MUST work at KAIT!!! Her show wasn't cancelled- she was simply far too busy for it at this point in her life. Angie does so much for the Jonesboro community and her family.
After watching Carter on the on the air, it's apparent KAIT is going backwards AGAIN. He's local alright. More Like....YOCAL. Chris Castleman was FAR BETTER. Castleman is seasoned and a pro. My gosh, what's next-a monkey replacing Diana Davis? Davis and Castleman are the ONLY 2 bright spots at a station that just needs to shut it's doors FOR GOOD!
Whatever excuse you have to use to rationalize it. I was going to solve the world hunger problem-I just grew far too busy hanging out with the socialites of Jonesboro to continue on with my efforts.
Heck maybe they will even lure that little fake blond girl friend of Mitch's back next...I hear they had an interesting news room relationship on his last stint...

He always says funny things like "my momma always told me to brush my teeth before going to bed and that is what ASU tried to do today. But it was pretty hard to brush teeth when they couldnt reach through their facemasks"
If Mitch is the only bright spot at KAIT then they are in TROUBLE. Someone who was TWICE fired and brought back for a third stint is the BRIGHT spot. Of course a station that has employed it's fair share of CRIMINALS in the last year, maybe Mitch is a bright spot.
Bring Chris Castleman back. I like Diana Davis, and Craig Rickert is ok. But KAIT is hurting when it comes to weather and sports. Also, that AM show is absolutely awful.
Angie Dickson was a very talented individual. Very credible. Match her and Diana Diana together anchoring the evening news. Chris Castleman doing weather. Glenn Marini on sports, and KAIT would HALF WAY rid itself of it's horrible reputation. Just a thought? The rest of there staff need to start pursuing other professions.

I agree Mitch Lilly will save KAIT...SAVE THEM MONEY on a real sports anchor.
Mitch is actually small enough to place his entire body inside the computer and posts his own remarks. NOW-that's one BIG advantage to being a midget. As far as "SAVING" KAIT. A huge sinkhole would do the trick....and help the viewers as well.

This just in. Chris Castleman has surfaced. He is apparently going to free lance for KPIX-TV/Channel 5 in San Francisco as a weather anchor. Kenny Lindner's office is confirming it. GOOD LUCK CHRIS!!!
Wow, Castleman in San Fran? That's a BIG move. Goes to show talent prevails. Hope he's making some "real" money.

I assume this is just a rumor.
I looked on the CBS 5 in San Francisco website also. But if Castleman's free lancing, he's part time. Obviously, they wouldn't list him on the the web. CBS O & O's have gone to hiring ALOT of free-lanchers due to budget constraints. Reporters, anchors, photogs. I saw Ken Lindner's name in an earlier post. He's a heavy hitter. LA agent. Castleman had him as his agent in Jacksonville, FL and Orlando, FL.
This can't work in reality, that's what I think.
