TodaysTHV.com Powered by Google

Today's THV.com has gotten another little makeover. Maybe it's been like this the last couple of weeks and I just have not had time to visit the site BUT the website now features a google search bar and the ability to search for a specific story on the site. ALSO is a site map at the bottom of the homepage. Still waiting for the LIVE streaming of newscasts. That would really come in handy when stuck at work where there is no tv.

if you miss it at 5 and 6 just watch it at 10. The stations love their early newscasts so much they re-run them at 10 and then again all morning long.
THV has more or less had the Google search from the "get-go." This is not an exclusive or new feature, any website can have this. Go to Google Labs and they will give you the code for it.
KTHV has the best website in this market. KATV and KARK can't suck any harder.
I love Today's THV, and I love their web site. However, them making their website wider was a mistake. It looks exactly like what they did, they took a 800x600 website and stretched it. It looks disproportionate. And the weather timeline in the top corner is so blurry and fuzzy you can't see it.
Interesting....use google news and search KTHV on a few stories come up where KTHV is mentioned. Do the same with KATV and you get many of the stories they post on-line. Perhaps that's how their story counts get inflated.
KATV just makes up those numbers, guys, it means nothing!
We have always had the search Google box on the site, it was just tucked safely away at the bottom of the site.
The site was changed to accommodate a 1024 x 768 screen resolution, as many web sites have already done.
David, we did, more or less, stretch the existing site. We were happy with the look of the old site and did not feel the need to reinvent the wheel, so to speak.
I do thank you for your comments. Positive or negative, it helps us make changes to things that sometimes I do not see. (It's kind of the can't see the forest for the trees kind of thing in my case).
Much thanks to those who had kind words and constructive criticisms.

I just think they need more "Cowbell".
Hope I made ya laugh Butch.
Yeah! MORE COWBELL!
It's just that I find Gene's cowbell playing.......distracting.
I put my pants on one leg at a time, just like the rest of you. The only thing is, when I put on my pants, I make hit records!
R, Kelley is a funny guy.
The KTHV staffers can't leave their website alone long enough to establish a good solid brand. It's not a news site - just a fun friendly environment - much like the Fellowship Bible Church. The design of the site is horrible. For God's Sake - you are a news organization - Grow up!
