Is someone flying the coop at KLRT? KLRT is advertising for a meteorologist. Make that a full-time meteorologist. Is this a new position? Is someone leaving? Inquiring minds wanna know.

I'm guessing it's Nate. He does a great job and is probably moving on to better things.

Having been out of Little Rock for many years now, I wasn't even aware KLRT even had a news department. Somebody fill me in . . .

KLRT Needs to find an Arkansas person to fill Nate's shoes. If they had some fresh faces Arkansan's can relate to, more people would watch.

Where's he going?

I agree, an Arkansas person might cause viewers to watch. It would be worth a try. The other stations do it and it works.

How long has KLRT had a news department and who are the people on the air? I'm not in the area anymore and didn't even know this . . . .

They've had a newscast for about a year and a half. It's an hour-long show that airs at 9. You can check out their site, www.klrt.com, to read the bios. Dewayne Graham was on it as an "investigative reporter." His special report on their so-called "inaugural debut" was a history lesson on the Lakeview case and was a real snoozer.

Some homegrown talent might work, but not many weather people from ARK.

Is Doug Krile part of this group, too? I thought I remember my parents who still live down there telling me about that, but I could be mistaken.

Doug Krile is now doing a really bad newscast on the WB. It airs at 5:30 I think.

Leaving Channel 4 and going to that hastily-assembled pathetic excuse for a news operation at then KKYK was the dumbest move Doug Krile ever made. Neal Ardman was the worst boss I've ever had, not to mention the most evil. I would have been different if their product would have been actually good, but it wasn't. It was Doug, some Miss USA wannabe, a nobody doing weather, and David Bazzel on sports with an ocassional appearance by the now President of the Arkansas Twisters, Jack Lankford. Somehow KKYK was tied in with the Twisters/Riverblades at the time. I think they bought them from the Berrymans or something like that. . . . .

No boss is good, if you don't do your job. Suck it up, sweep it up, and move on.

Wow, Does anyone read this that has had a
unusually short and unbelievably dishonest and deceitful experience working at Equity TV?

I mean WOW! after 7 radio and TV station..billboads and newspaper, I have never seen such an unusual
operation. Telephone calls monitored. Eavesdropping. Made up stories to humiliate a person. Total fabrication of everything. I mean did you see the Snow on Chenal yesterday? (that kind of stuff)

I think it has a nice faciility..and I sort of like the big guy. Ardman. I think he is smart and talented, but he needs some stronger people under him right now.
