Where Are They Now

Today we put Carla Wade in the spotlight.

Carla was born in Eastern Texas and considers the capital city Austin home; but she has also lived in California, Florida, Maryland, Arkansas, and most recently Oklahoma.

Carla began her career in broadcasting at the age of 19 at an Oklahoma City radio station where she anchored the news and was a morning show co-host. This first job opportunity led her to a two year stint at National Public Radio affiliate KGOU/KROU in Norman, Oklahoma where she anchored the evening news and reported for the morning show while enrolled as a full time student.

Carla worked as a General Assignment Reporter and Morning Anchor at KATV in Little Rock, Arkansas and as a Weekend Anchor, Producer and Reporter at KSWO in Lawton, Oklahoma.

What's Carla doing now? Carla is a General Assignment Reporter at WTVQ, Action News 36, in Lexington, KY.

You now know where works, why don't you email her or call her. I bet she'd be more then happy to discuss it with you in private. Maybe she'd like to keep the matter private. Perhaps you shuld ask her before you share her's and everybody else's dirty laundry.

Actually I think she's the weekend anchor at that station now since Candice Hunter left. She's very good, but I heard she's leaving when her contract is up at the end of December, or at least that's the word on the street.
She's nice and one of the best reporters in that market but her station sucks and she knows it. I work in that market too, but she's pretty private and just does her business and goes home. Not really in the gossip or social mix there.

I heard KATV's executives really tried to hurt her career at the time she was here and after she left. He dad was killed in the Oklahoma City Bombing and she was having a tough time dealing with those issues but remaining professional at all times.

KATV just used her until the usefulness of her personal story was ended.

KATV exec's will hurt all of them and drive them off from this shinking ship and i can see that BET Hunt is next and i can tell by her body language followed by Michelle Rupp and one of the GEneral Assignment Reporters and a good example is Julia Grason i know katv remember her.

I heard she is dating a former reporter that she worked with in Lawton. I think he is a teacher now. I dont know if I am right, but I think his name is Jay Manley. He is teaching in Korea for the moment, but keeps in regular touch with Carla. I have only heard good things about him. I guess Jay gave up the the tv biz. Someone told me that he did his graduate work at Boise State. Good for you Carla if that is true.
