Looks as though the Shreveport market is not immune to having some of the most ridiculous contests. KTBS is conducting an 'Ugly Tie Contest'.

Here's how the contest works according to the station's website:

Do you have a tie that you just can't stand? Or one that is so old that it is frayed around the edges? Or one that sends people into spasms of laughing as you walk by them? You can win a $350 Gift Certicate to Georgio's Men's Apparel for your Father.
