Awkward Farewell for KLRT Sports Director
David Raath delivered his final sportscast on KLRT Friday night. To those of us who knows of the situation of why he was saying goodbye it seemed... well.....awkward. Raath was one of nearly 30 KLRT/KARK staffers fired last week. His final time on air was very emotional on the set Friday night. A montage of clips of his time at KLRT and his goodbye is below.

I'm sorry.. I like Wess, but this whole thing is bullcrap. David was a good guy, the best. He gave me my start in Little Rock. And I hate this whole thing.
When you leave broadcasting, you will be remembered about five minutes after your butt clears the door.

That is so true. I never hear from any of my former co-workers at my last station. We had a very high turnover in the 9 years I was there. The majority of my former co-workers have either been fired, laid off, moved on to other stations, or gotten out of broadcasting altogether.
Yeah, that's typical. Had the same situation myself.
They let David go for Wess??????? PISS POOR decision! David has passion
