KTBS Relaunches Website
It didn't take KTBS long to follow KSLA and remodel its website. KTBS.com has been totally redone AND it features streaming video. Now KTAL is the ONLY station in the Shreveport that does not feature online video.

I just love how KTAL uses KTVE's Doppler image on their sidebar trying to pass it off as their own. I wonder if the folks over at KTVE know about that.
I seen the same thing and thought it was so funny. I wonder if they are doing some changing? I noticed the give out ktalnews.tv as the website instead of newschannel6.tv. I was wondering if they are going to drop the News Channel 6 theme.
KARK is the only station in LR that does not feature video on its web site.
I just love how KTBS and 12 have sub-par weather people. Maybe they can trade the sweet new website from a Todd Warren clone? KTAL maybe cheep, but their weather department is so much better than ANY station in Shreveport.
I do think jennifer Gray is very good, and 6's mornign weather guy is growing on me.
the above poster my be a bad at grammer, but the point is correct. KTAL does have the best wweather people, and horrible website.
While I agreee that KTAL has the best on-air weather people, I must disagree with one point. I think the girl on channel 3 has potential. In a year or so, she may be okay. However, at this moment she is easily distinguishable as the weakest weather person (in terms of on-air presentation) in the market. Her expression never changes. If it's sunny and cool, or if there's a tornado bearing down...she's just there like a brown paper bag.
I do think Todd Warren is a great weather person just as Jennifer Gray is! KTAL needs some new weather maps and the station needs to get a complete over haul.
I wonder if KSLA will be getting a new set with the new graphics and logo so that the news desk and the logos in the weather center match. They also need some more lighting or something its so dark.
keep in mind, KTAL doesn't have the associated press wires, ratings, a sat truck, and many other basics the other stations have. I think streaming video is way, way down on the priority list.
Get KTAL some new maps!!! Why have Todd Warren and in my opinion a very friendly morning weather guy in Rustin Duke and have those out-dated graphics? Are they ever getting a New weekend person? I think Jennifer Gray is alittle manly.
KTAL and Nexstar put the nail in the coffin when they fired Ron Young and the rest of the pack at the change of ownership. People trust who they know. The only familiar face on KTAL is Todd Warren. KTAL needs new graphics and seasoned reporters and anchors. The new female anchor is pretty good though. Wonder who they'll get to pair up with her?
Hey Ron, People don't watch you at 12!
Ron Young is just old, and old doesnt make you good. Ron young is like the bootleg Bozo that used to be on in Arkansas. I think a youth movement beats a familiar weather guy that copies forecasts straight from the national weather service and has faked his way along.
People will never just switch to 6, why would they? The new weather kid at ktal is new, but at least he knows how to read weather charts and raw data, and isn't a typical weirdo weather person.
So you think the big girl anchor is good, not me. Shannon Slatton is better.

3's was up before 12's? Funny I was still getting the old KTBS.com when I posted the entry about ksla.com.
News 12 has really stepped it up. Those new grapics and music really give the show a large market look.

They should put that on THE BIG MARKET STATION 12!!! Or get the National Service to post it so Ron Young can copy and paste it to his forecast.
Ron Young rocks! People love him and for good reason. Don't forget, in TV news presentation counts, that's all viewers know. He presents the weather in a way that makes you want to watch!
what's up wiht the blog only letting good things be said about Ron Young? It's ok to call Hiedi york fat, but don't call Ron Young a fake. He is a fake, and his weather style is old and out dated. I agree with the above poster he does present the weather in a way that makes you want to watch and laugh.

All you tools hating on Ron Young are losers. And as for busting on channel 12, they win the ratings that's why you hate...deal with it losers. And to poster #12 who wrote "good talent goes to bigger places, bad talent goes to ch 12" How do you explaine Tim Fletcher or Cliff Cotton? Last I checked they're at ch 3. And as for 6, they hire and fire more bad talent than 12 has ever seen. I can understand perferring sub-par stations like 3 or 6, but saying bad talent goes to 12 is a moronic statement.
ktal rocks todd warren is awesome.they have like the greatest weather departmant in the arklatex. ktbs is good to. ksla is terribal. kmss sucks.

to poster #22 cliff cotton got offered a job that he would enjoy much more than ktbs because of his personality. tim fletcher has won best sportscaster in the ark-la-tex for the past 5 years. someones is enjoying his personality. you must have a serious lack of humor or a dangerous jealousy problem. and channel 3 wins most of the rankings..although channel 12 has also..as for 6, sorry brothers.
It can't work in reality, that's exactly what I think.
This will not work as a matter of fact, that's what I consider.
