As far as covering the news goes.

KARK hands down is the best station. They do well to enterprise their own sotries and don't follow the paper loke KTHV and to a lesser extent KATV do.

In the Morning it's KTHV, energetic and fun with a good mix of news, weather, traffic and fun. Followed by KARK and KATV tried for 3rd.

I know the ratings might not reflect my opnion of the news leader in the market, give it time. Habits are hard to change but KARK is working on reinventing itself and KATV is trying as hard as it can to run viewers off.

Oh yeah.... KARK is the news leader! This week they drove up to Jonesboro to get their lead story... a lady found a bug in her hamburger at McDonalds. That's pathetic to lead with such a story.

KARK did not lead with that story. It was at the bottom of their top block on Tuesday. The story they lead with on Wednesday was about food safety and preparation. The bug from McDonalds was a short mention.

Well, okay. But why did they send a reporter and camera crew all the way to Jonesboro... to cover the story of a bug in a burger ?

I guess they could have just run the package from KAIT. No wait that's what KATV does.

I watch KTHV in the morning because that trainwreck on KATV is even worse than I had anticipated. I haven't seen KTHV in the evening since Craig O'Neal came on the scene. He is the Wally Hall of local television. They're both almost half as interesting as they think they are. And nowhere near as accurate.

KATV is the obvious leader in this market. All you have to do is look at the numbers. They have more viewers in some shows than KARK and KTHV combined. Ch. 7 won the 5, 6 and 10 newscasts in May and will most likely do it again in June. They have the tradition and the personalities that the other stations just don't have.

Hasn't KARK been "working to reinvent itself" for some time now? Doesn't look like it's working.

What's up with this headline on Fox's website?
Fox 16 exclusive: runaway teen found.
How is it an exclusive when you watched it on everyone else's stations at the five and the six that day?
If you can't get the exclusivity part right, what makes us think you can get anything right?
Viewers aren't stupid, but apparently Fox is...

I challenge ya'll: Watch KARK and KTHV and KATV and do the math. KARK AND THV has MORE LOCAL NEWS than KATV. What's local news all about? LOCAL NEWS. Not to rehash stories from the AP wire. That's why you've got the national news at 5:30. ONLY THE LOCAL STATIONS can provide LOCAL NEWS STORIES. CBS, ABC and NBC don't care about Little Rock/Arkansas news, that's why we have KARK, KTHV and KATV. Do your jobs and bring viewers LOCAL NEWS!!!!

IF KATV is the news leader why are they third in the current poll in Arkansas TV News and the nubbers tell the story and KATV is a lie.
