Sinclair to Say Goodbye to Nielson Ratings...

Sinclair Broadcasting, the parent company of KATV/Channel 7/Little Rock/ will start using comScore exclusively beginning in 2018.  TV Spy reports Sinclair has informed its advertisers and media buying agencies of the change.  “We understand that there are choices in local broadcast measurement, and Sinclair will continue to work with our clients to ensure their buys meet expectations,” Sinclair executive vice president and chief operating officer Steve Marks said in a letter obtained by TV News Check.

The ratings measurement system is crap. Never actually listens to the viewers demands.

Channel 7 seems to be catering to the far right more and more. I've noticed more right wing nuts (one a Trump surrogate) giving commentary full of Republican lies on the air often. I've heard Sinclair is a right wing mouthpiece and it's beginning to show on their programming. After they lose viewer share and revenue, hopefully they will move to the center.

After this happens, KTHV will be the only station in the market that subscribes to nielsen.

Sinclair is absolutely far right wing. Welcome to your state sponsored journalism via the Kremlin.
