Sinclair Broadcasting Buys Tribune Stations

There will soon be less competition in TV broadcasting as Sinclair Broadcasting has announced it will buy Tribune Media for 3.9 billion dollars.  Sinclair is the parent company of KATV/Channel 7/Little Rock.  There is one tribune station in Arkansas and it's KFSM/Fort Smith/Fayetteville.  The deal announced this morning does include 42 tribune tv stations and the WGN cable channel

Think about it. By 2050, all local stations could be owned by one shitty company. The American television industry is becoming more and more corrupt and useless!

This has to be a great opportunity for 40/29. Can they seize the moment and become the dominant station in NW Arkansas? It's long been one of Hearst's weaker stations but they have a history of pulling up when they need to.

40/29 and Hearst have not been sold ... tribune Broadcasting, which owns KFSM TV 5, has been sold to Sinclair ...

I highly doubt it helps 40/29 any until they get rid of the blonde airhead
