Good luck Leslie. You will do fine wherever you land.

This is not a surprise. They come in, do their two years, then they're out of here. Actually, I am surprised when they stay past their two years.

Her Marine husband must've got his orders to a new base.

Well looks like there were no Leslie Draffin or KTAL Morning Show fans.
You'd think after 12 years or so of new ownership that channel 6 would've increased their ratings more than they have. Guess the negative-inertia of that place is just hard to overcome.

Confirmed today. Leslie will be the new morning anchor at the fox affiliate in OKC. Her first day will be on the 30th.

Leslie's going to work at a Fox affiliate? Poor thing. I feel so bad for her.

11:04 AM It's actual 13 years and 5 months since Nexstar took ownership of KTAL. Can you believe it's been that long? And you are correct. It is an extremely negative place, but it's nothing compared to KMSS. KTAL's newest Nexstar/Mission sister station, and the worst place I've ever worked my 31 year working career.

I'll have to agree with you about KMSS being the worst place. I had done some business with them in the past and never again. Caustic managers, ethically-challenged sales staff, tell you one thing and wind up doing another. I've found used-car salespeople to have better ethics IMHO.

So the deal has been approved by the FCC?

1:57 PM "Caustic managers, ethically-challenged sales staff." You're being polite. KMSS/KSHV is by far the worst workplace I've encountered both in and out of broadcasting.

@ 5:47 PM

No, not yet. The hold up is WEVV CBS 44 in Evansville Indiana. Both Nexstar and Mission already own stations in Evansville, so they have to find a buyer for WEVV. Once that happens the FCC will sign off on the deal, and the changes will begin.

Better start looking for another job now before the buyout goes through, and Nextsar/Mission consolidates and/or eliminates your job.
