After last week's departure of Lane Stone, the station's popular home-grown main anchor for nearly five years, there is word that her co-anchor, the young, talented Shawn Patrick, is leaving as well. Word is he's taking a weekend am anchor/reporter gig at Denver powerhouse KUSA. As your blog correctly noted, Stone is also heading to Denver with her fiancee, Eli Stokols, who left Shreveport's KSLA for Denver's KWGN in September.Incidentally, Stone's job was offered to Heidi York, a morning anchor in Wilmington, NC (market 140) after KTAL's own morning anchor, Shannon Slatton, wisely refused to sign a five-year contract."
